So I have come to realize, the older I get the harder it is to manage my weight. Over the last 4-5 years, i have watched my weight go up and down with frustration--and it has become obvious to me that managing my diet alone is not enough. I have to work out as well to make any real changes in my body.
I have also come to realize that when I am only depending on myself to maintain my motivation it is really easy to talk myself into sleeping in instead of working out, or having an extra slice of pumpkin pie with extra whipped cream.
And so, I am starting a new year and a new chapter and, in my own self-interest, I am inviting all my friends and family to join me and help me stay focused.
to all family and friends:
i challenge you to
make a commitment to yourself
to improve your health
to get fit
and build your confidence.
ONE STEP AT A TIME.
I found this quote: the secret of sucess is having the courage to start in the first place. So who's ready to jump on my band wagon?

Count me in!! I can't seem to shake this extra "baby #3" weight alone!
ReplyDeleteI am totally down as well! March 2009 saw me at 164 pounds, and by the time June came around I was down to 148. Lo and behold the great Jennifer has become bountiful once more at 163.
ReplyDeleteWe're in.
ReplyDeleteKathy and I just bought a recumbent excercise bike today and we took turns riding while we watched Fringe (the best show ever in the history of the universe).
Kathy rode 8.5 miles. I went 12.6.
